who we are

Chris Long started out hosting at Melbourne's best nightclubs, studied PR and marketing at RMIT, then spent seven years in London working in innovation and design.

Back home, he's spent the past decade designing service experiences for Australian business owners at a major corporate organisation.

In 2025, he founded NOELA, named after his late aunt Noela, who was the life of every party.

Noela passed away from motor neurone disease in 2022, and her spirit lives on in every event Chris creates - designed with intention and delivered with heart.

NOELA events unfold like a story, look like a dream, and end like the ultimate dance party!

Every NOELA experience starts with a story.

  • Event concept design.

    The creative blueprint for your event. A complete vision, for you or your suppliers to deliver:

    • A narrative concept for your event, shaped into distinct acts that carry your guests through the experience

    • Mood boards capturing the look and feel

    • Colour and materials palette

    • Floor plan and layout

    • A detailed styling specification any supplier can work from

    • Recommended suppliers from our trusted network

    • A run sheet for the day.

    Ideal for: hosts with a venue coordinator or a hands-on approach who want distinctive creative direction.

  • Concept, sourcing and installation.

    We design the experience, then bring it to life on site:

    • Sourcing and hiring furniture, florals, linen, decor, candles and signage

    • Briefing suppliers on the design

    • On-site supervision of bump-in so it’s installed exactly as designed

    • Coordination of pack-down and returns.

    Ideal for: events where the venue runs the day, but the experience needs to be just right.

  • Complete planning and management.

    Hand it all to us. We design, plan and run your event from first conversation to final farewell:

    • Concept design and styling

    • End-to-end planning and supplier management

    • Budget tracking with full invoice transparency

    • Entertainment, sound and lighting coordination
