WHO WE ARE

NOELA was founded by Chris Long, who has spent the past 20 years designing customer experiences for brands, and a lifetime delivering event experiences for like-minded people.

Chris grew up in Melbourne and started his career promoting and hosting at Melbourne’s best nightclubs and festivals. His love of events led him to complete an Advanced Diploma of Public Relations and a Bachelor of Business Marketing Degree at RMIT.

In 2006, Chris moved to London for close to 8 years and worked in innovation and design. Since returning to Australia, Chris has been designing for a large corporate company, driving positive experiences and a culture that enables his team to succeed.

In 2025, Chris decided to pour his passion for events into NOELA, a business that designs and delivers elevated, immersive and joyful event experiences. NOELA uses design techniques to transform spaces, and transport guests to different realms, where beauty, excitement, and pure magic thrive.

Chris named his business after his late aunt, whose name means joy and festivity. Noela was the life of every party, and sadly passed from Motor-Neuron Disease in 2022. Noela’s energy lives on through the experiences Chris creates.

HOW WE WORK

  • We design your event experience and give you a plan to deliver it.

    We’ll include a mood board of images and recommended suppliers to engage with.

  • We work with you and your appointed suppliers to deliver your event experience.

    We take the lead on some activities and allow your appointed partners to own other parts of the planning process.

  • End-to-end event experience design, styling and management.

    We work closely with you but do all the heavy lifting, so you can focus on getting your outfit ready, building momentum with guests, and enjoying the time of your life on the day.
